Sean Patrick Flanery Talks Boondock Saints II, Boondock Comic, Fonda and Fighting

Although Sean Patrick Flanery has a long list of acting credits to his name in film and TV, from The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Powder, Suicide Kings, Stargate SG-1, C.S.I., Masters of Horror, and his six season run on the TV adaptation of The Dead Zone, it was the 1999 role of butt kicking Irish twin brother, Connor McManus in Boondock Saints that fans have been talking about for a decade.

After years of rumor and speculation that Boondock Saints director Troy Duffy would eventually reunite Flanery with actor Norman Reedus who plays Connor’s brother, Murphy McManus, for a sequel to Boondock Saints, the long and winding road to Boondock Saints II will soon be here when Sean Patrick Flanery is back to kick more hail-of-gunfire butt in Boston in Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.

Want to find out the latest on the follow-up to the cult classic Boondock Saints?

You’ll want to head to the FOX Home Entertainment booth (1041)! And, want to meet the Boondock Saints? Well, then you’ll want to head to the FOX Home Entertainment booth between 2:30 and 3:30 PM on Saturday as Sean Patrick Flanery and Troy Duffy will both be making appearances and signing autographs for fans.

(You’ll want to be by the FOX Home Entertainment booth a lot as Dead Like Me: Life After Death stars Ellen Muth, Callum Blue, Britt McKillip, Cynthia Stevenson, and Sarah Wynter will also be signing there throughout the weekend.)

The film is called “The Whole Truth”. It is a screwball comedy – with a twist! A greedy, high living acting coach transforms disgusting criminals to appeal to juries, until she overhears a client she helped set free plan a heinous crime – and becomes his target for murder. Escaping death and finding who she really is becomes the most expensive – and rewarding experience of her life.

This film is being written, directed, and co-produced by Colleen Patrick. Cast includes: Sean Patrick Flanery, Elisabeth Röhm, Eric Roberts, Jim Holmes, Rick Overton, Pisay Pao, John Fugelsang, Kristina Lilley and Tin Tin.

I just wanted you to know that Friday night Sean Patrick did a scene – solo – in THE WHOLE TRUTH that will completely blow everyone away. His fans will not be at all surprised at his remarkable range – but this particular scene is a showstopper and may even stun them.

Anyone who has ever wondered who Sean Patrick Flanery is will stand up and take notice from this film and especially this scene. When you see the film, there are several times when SPF lights up the screen in an extraordinary way – along with his amazing co-star, Elisabeth Rohm (her first comedy, btw), but wow.

This particular scene will blow mercury out the top of thermometers, blow lids off pressure cookers and leave audiences agog.

What a tremendously gifted, skilled actor he is. And it is my pleasure to give him a platform on which to show of f his chops in a remarkable, substantial way.

The best part of directing this film is that each of the superb actors with whom I’m working – Elisabeth, Eric Roberts, Rick Overton, John Fugelsang and Pisay Pao – do the same in their own scenes – so you may have to start more fan clubs!!

Another casting coup today from producer Scott Licina, who is proud to announce that Sean Patrick Flanery, known to movie goers worldwide for his brilliant work in the cult classic film “The Boondock Saints”, will take on the role of Brett in the adaptation of the hit comic book mini-series, Bump. Mr. Flanery joins the previously announced Ashley Laurence (“Hellraiser”) and Tobin Bell (“Saw”), with special effects master and director Robert Kurtzman at the helm.

Sean Patrick Flanery brings a wealth of experience and broad acting ability to “Bump”. In addition to starring roles in “Suicide Kings” and “Powder”, he is also highly regarded for his work in television on shows including “The Dead Zone”, “CSI” and most notably for starring as the younger version of the legendary character in “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles”.
